Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Naver SEO and our services
Modestly. Naver weights authority inside its own platforms far more heavily than external links. Backlinks matter much more for Google Korea, which handles around 30 percent of Korean search. We are straight about this: link building is primarily a Google Korea play with secondary Naver benefit.
Korean media outlets, industry directories and associations, and genuine editorial placements on .kr domains relevant to your sector. We do not use private blog networks or bulk press-release syndication, because those produce large referring-domain counts and almost no authority.
Fewer than most services will sell you. Fifteen to twenty relevant, genuine links will do more than several hundred syndicated ones. Quality and topical relevance dominate volume.
Obvious paid link networks remain a genuine liability. Most low-quality links are now simply discounted rather than penalised, so the realistic cost is wasted budget. Paid placements also require disclosure under Korea Fair Trade Commission rules.
Why Korean SEO is Different
Korean search behavior and Naver’s algorithm require specialized strategies that Western SEO tactics simply can’t address.
Naver Dominates (75% Market Share)
Unlike Google-dominated markets, Naver requires completely different optimization strategies, content formats, and ranking factors.
Korean Language Complexity
Hangul characters, honorific systems, and cultural nuances demand native-level understanding for effective keyword research and content creation.
Unique User Behavior
Korean users prefer comprehensive, detailed content and trust signals that differ significantly from Western search patterns.
Local Authority Networks
Building authority requires connections with Korean-specific platforms, communities, and high-DA Korean websites.
